Litigation Associate | Seattle preferred; Portland or California considered

We founded BBS on the belief that you could do interesting, meaningful litigation work with real work-life balance. We have a 1,300 hour expectation, intended to give our lawyers time for family, pro bono work, and their communities.

Bradley Bernstein Sands is hiring a litigation associate with 3–6 years of experience. Seattle is preferred, and we'll also consider Portland or Los Angeles.

We handle high-stakes matters for clients across the country, often alongside or against the largest firms in the country. We staff those cases with two or three lawyers where a national firm would use six or eight. That means our associates take the depositions and argue the dispositive motions now, not five years from now.

We're looking for:

• 3–6 years of complex civil litigation, ideally at a large firm or litigation boutique

• An excellent writer with good judgment about what persuades a court

• Someone curious, who already uses AI to serve clients better

• A kind, collaborative teammate who cares about firm culture

  It’s a bonus if you have:

• Experience in employment law

• Admission in Washington, or eligibility for prompt admission by motion

Pay is based on national firm scale, adjusted for hours, and we're glad to discuss numbers early. We have offices in Seattle, Portland and LA, but there are no required in-office days.
